THANKSGIVING

In November we have a tendency to focus on the things we are thankful for. Don't get me wrong I think that it's great that at least once a year you stop to think of the things we have instead of the things we don't have and want. Last year on Facebook I used everyday in November to voice the thing I was thankful for, this year a lot of people are doing that and I am not. I wanted to get my kids to recognize all the blessings they have also. This is what I did this year.

Every day each of us would write down one things we are thankful for, you couldn't repeat any. We filled the jar and we have four days to go. On Thanksgiving before we eat our feast we are going to sit down as a family and read what each other has been grateful for.

I drew a random hand full to share with you.

I know I'm a child of God

The Lord blesses us with so much everyday We need to take the time to see all we have, all that He has blessed us with, not only on Thanksgiving or in November but everyday. This month while I have looked everyday at the blessings God has given to me I've been able to more easily see how much of it all I truly do have.

When dose someone know they have it all? Can anyone really have it all? I guess that would depend on what it all is. I've heard that no one will ever have it all, because when one gets what they want they simply want something else. In my journey to have it all I break it down into different areas. And in each group I then need to decide what it would take to be completely happy with that area of my life. A Morning:

To have it all in the morning takes getting up on time, the kids getting out of bed (hopefully without a fight), have breakfast, get looking good for the day, get a family prayer in then it's out the door for school. If we all eat, get dress, brush our teeth, and get to the school by 8:30 that morning I had it all. Looking at all the little places we have it all makes it easy to see how close we are to having it all.

Believing

I got inspirited to start a blog about having it all, not because I do have it all, but because in the last few months I've really started to think about what having it all means to me. Also, I've been reading a friend's blog and a lot of what she has to say helps me and maybe I can help some one like she helps me. Also I know that when I write stuff out it makes me really focus on how I really feel or what I really think about some thing.
I am working on having it all, part of the problem with that is I don't know what it all is that I want. Some of it I know and some of it I have, more on that as I go. I got a cute little sign last mothers' day that says,

"T
HE SECRET TO HAVING IT ALL IS BELIEVING THAT YOU DO"

I'm not only going to start believing it, but seeing everything that I do have.
