THANKSGIVING

In November we have a tendency to focus on the things we are thankful for. Don't get me wrong I think that it's great that at least once a year you stop to think of the things we have instead of the things we don't have and want. Last year on Facebook I used everyday in November to voice the thing I was thankful for, this year a lot of people are doing that and I am not. I wanted to get my kids to recognize all the blessings they have also. This is what I did this year.

Every day each of us would write down one things we are thankful for, you couldn't repeat any. We filled the jar and we have four days to go. On Thanksgiving before we eat our feast we are going to sit down as a family and read what each other has been grateful for.

I drew a random hand full to share with you.

A house and family

Me (not really sure which child is thankful for them self)

I know I'm a child of God

The Lord blesses us with so much everyday We need to take the time to see all we have, all that He has blessed us with, not only on Thanksgiving or in November but everyday. This month while I have looked everyday at the blessings God has given to me I've been able to more easily see how much of it all I truly do have.
